2017 | A Mother’s Love, A Business is Born
Inspired by her deep love for family, Lucy Lim started MaMa Gourmet in her home kitchen, crafting delicate, flavorful puffs using only the freshest ingredients. Each bite carried the warmth of home, and soon, demand grew beyond family and friends. As word spread, Mama Gourmet began supplying to supermarkets, sharing its heartfelt flavors with more families.
2018-2019 | Growing Beyond Home
With demand soaring, Mama Gourmet Delight moved to a commercial kitchen to keep up with orders. More distributors came on board, and our team started to grow. A major milestone arrived with our first Yu Sheng tasting event at Lion City Asian Grocery, followed by our first-ever event booth—marking our presence in the community.
2020 | Rising Stronger
The COVID-19 pandemic forced us back to a home-based operation during lockdowns, but our commitment never wavered. Despite the challenges, we experienced its peak growth, pushing us to take a bold step forward—we acquired a new space and built our own commercial kitchen, ready for the next chapter.
2021-2022 | Expansion and Innovation
With our new premises in operation, we gradually expanded, supplying more distributors and operating on weekends. Mama Gourmet Delight underwent rapid growth, introducing an extended menu and innovative Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) for ready-to-eat meals, ensuring that our customers could enjoy our food anytime, anywhere.
2023 | A Year of New Milestones
Our distributor network continued to expand, making it even easier for customers to find Mama Gourmet products. September 2023 marked another milestone: the launch of our first Mama Gourmet Delight pop-up stall, followed by a three-month café run. We proudly participated in the Colours of Malaysia event at Victoria Market, sharing our culture and flavours with a wider audience.
2024 | Our First Store at Chadstone
A dream come true! In collaboration with Maita, we acquired our first retail space at Chadstone, Australia’s largest shopping hub. As we prepare for an exciting year of growth, our focus remains the same—to bring a taste of home to more families, one delicious bite at a time.
